This is fantastic new role, for a large well established business based in the outskirts of Ipswich town centre. Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager with a minimum of five years Health & Safety experience at Management level. The successful candidate will have a proactive and hands-on approach and will manage and take responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining and effective safety programme across the business, consisting of Head Office, adjoining Warehouse facility and support of External Field based personnel.

Job Duties:

You will take sole responsibility for the Management of the Company's ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance.

To Manage the H&S Management system.

Update risk assessments when required.

Arrange H&S audits and inspections as required to identify and minimise the risk to company employees.

Carry out weekly fire alarm testing

Attending sites when required to understand H&S issues i.e working at height, Asbestos etc.

Run equipment registers, equipment issue and control measures.

Experience and skills required:

Construction background with a knowledge of CDM is desirable.

A minimum of five years Health & Safety experience at management level.

A rational, logical and flexible approach is critical

The ability to prioritise workload, handle multiple task and apply confidentiality and professionalism is fundamental to the role.
