Therapeutic Care Worker - Children's Residential home in Kent

Join a leading organisation that provides a nurturing home to address the damage of a child's past. Gain a counselling qualification and become a qualified child psychotherapist to help with their trauma.

Full time work and gain qualifications as you go. The role is working on a full time basis with a children's charity. You will be part of their training scheme, with modules and courses that will give you the tools to climb the career ladder.

This position is working in a children's home and with a therapeutic approach for promoting the well-being of children. You will be part of the ongoing training and development with access to a range of training modules leading to becoming a qualified child psychotherapist.

This opportunity has become available as Therapeutic Care Workers have been promoted to Deputy Team Leaders.

About You

If you have strong communication and listening skills, then this could be the opportunity for you. You will also have the desire to learn and develop your skills in the care setting. As a national provider of care services, my client offers great specialist training for all staff at all levels.

Experience of working in a care setting will be an advantage, but not essential. You must have a desire to work with and help children through support, coming up with new activities and providing care alongside a Child Psychotherapist.

You will be offered a generous salary, health benefits, ongoing progression and 40 days annual leave. If you are passionate about working with children and have the desire to learn, then this could be the role for you.

As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will support the children to find their voice. Shift work and sleep ins (2-3 x per week) is required for the post.

Benefits:

40 days annual leave, up to 6% employer pension contribution, health benefits, life assurance and the opportunity to become a qualified child psychotherapist.
Relocation package considered.
