Oncology Homecare Nurse Maidstone £30,000 - £35,000 car allowance My client is currently recruiting for Community Nurses with IV chemotherapy competencies. Delivering chemotherapy treatments in patient's homes throughout Maidstone. About the Role The role is field based and you will travel between patients' homes to deliver their treatment. This requires you to be well organised and motivated. Treatments will include oral & IV chemotherapy, and other anti-cancer and supportive treatments, blood tests, toxicity screening and holistic patient support. Patient care falls within the hours of 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and you will be scheduled to a maximum of 8 hours patient care a day over a varied working arrangement. Occasional weekend working will be required as part of your schedule. Essential criteria: Cannulation and venepuncture competency is essential. Proven experience in oncology and/or haematology is essential. A full UK driving license. Post-registration qualification in administering Cytotoxic Chemotherapy (equivalent to ENB237 or N59) or prepared to work towards. 1yr post registration experience in an acute setting 2yrs (min) experience within oncology and/or haematology setting Experience of supervising learners Previous homecare experience The role offers Oncology skills premium paid on completion of probation, and annually thereafter Car or car allowance (£3,600pa FTE) as appropriate Personal pension plan Discounted healthcare insurance Childcare vouchers 33 days annual leave (includes statutory holidays) NMC fees supported after a year's service (subject to eligibility) The successful candidate will need to be competent in the administration of IV chemotherapy drugs and infusions via all types of lines. You will hold an accredited chemotherapy qualification. Cannulation and venepuncture competency is essential. Proven experience in acute care essential. Applicants must be a Level 1 Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a full UK driving license.
