Heritage Care have fantastic opportunities for a Care Team Leader to join the team based at Peppercorn House in Ipswich. You wil join our team on a part time basis, 20 hours per week. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £9,177 per annum.

Heritage Care is a charitable organisation that provides a range of flexible individualised care and support services for people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and older people.

Peppercorn House is an extra care sheltered housing scheme for older people in Ipswich.  Located in the Stoke area of Ipswich, Peppercorn House is close of local shops and only a short bus ride away from the town centre. There are 23 modern, purpose built, well equipped one bedroom flats, all large enough to accommodate two people.  Peppercorn House has landscaped gardens which are fully wheelchair accessible.

The Care Team Leader Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Care Team Leader to join our team at Peppercorn House in Ipswich. You will support the manager in delivering a person-centred approach that supports individuals to maintain control over their lives. As part of the key-working team you will also be the liaison between families and health and social care professionals. You will also be happy to go the extra mile to make sure individuals receive high quality care in a safe, dignified way.  As part of a close-knit, friendly team, you’ll use your initiative and talent to contribute to the success of the home.

It is desirable that you have worked in a residential, nursing or domiciliary care environment and have experience of building positive relationships working in partnership with services users, their families and outside professionals.  Ideally you have some experience of supervising and coaching care and non care staff. You will have a QCF Diploma /NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.  Good written, verbal and numeracy skills is a must.
