Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, considerate and patient Support Worker who wants to make a difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities?

Our client takes pride in providing good quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex. They provide long-term accommodation and care for their residents and tenants across residential and independent living settings in small, unique family style homes.


• Provide good quality care and support to the adults based on their needs through a person-centred approach
• Accompany the adults to their life-skills sessions such as music; art; sensory sessions
• Assist them in every aspect of their daily lives, including personal care
• Provide a safe and supportive environment that enables individuals to feel valued, reach their potential and nurture their aspirations
• Maintain appropriate records and written reports
• Plan trips and activities
The ideal candidate to be successful in this role will:
• Have an appreciation of the needs of people with learning disabilities
• Be considerate, calm, patient, self-motivated, enthusiastic, respectful, non-judgemental and professional
• Be flexible as variable shifts include: long days; weekends, sleep-ins; occasional awake nights are allocated on a monthly rota
• Have an understanding or experience of autism, dementia and epilepsy although not essential
• Have knowledge of specialist equipment although not essential as person handling training will be provided
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills plus basic IT and report writing skills
• Hold a Health & Social Care NVQ2 or Level 2 Diploma Qualification or be working towards or a willingness to work towards within 18 months of commencement
• Hold a driving licence due to their rural location
